SANTA BARBARA CIVIL RIGHTS LAW, PLAINTIFF'S CASES,  including, discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age and disability, whistleblower cases, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, police misconduct, including excessive force and police or correctional officer wrongful death actions.

Our firm, Sanger & Swysen, handles State and Federal cases  on a selective basis. Plaintiff's cases are accepted after discussion with the claimant or claimant's family and independent investigation.  Cases of this type, if accepted, are usually handled on a contingent fee basis although clients are asked to contribute to the costs of litigation if they have the ability to do so.

Claims and cases of this sort are subject to strict statutes of limitation.  That means that you may lose forever the right to make a claim, to sue or to ever collect any damages if you do not file all appropriate documents on time.  Neither our firm nor any other lawyer will be responsible to file these documents for you unless and until you have formally retained the firm.  It is important that you consult with a lawyer as soon as possible so that you do not run out of time to meet the strict deadlines.

Call, 805-962-4887 (24 hour emergency page after hours) or e-mail.

We are licensed to practice in all trial and appellate courts in the State of California, including the District Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court and all federal courts in the state, including the Untied States District Courts for the Central, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.
